Police looking for Alexandria man in connection with fight in Woodbridge


Malicious Wounding – On October 2 at 2:54PM, officers responded to the 2300 block of Battery Hill Cir in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a fight in progress. When officers arrived, they located a victim, a 35-year-old man of Woodbridge, suffering from a laceration to the leg. The investigation revealed that the victim was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused displayed a knife and cut the victim on the leg. The accused then struck the victim on the head with a blunt object. A struggle ensued between the two men until several witnesses intervened and separated them. The accused then fled the area on a motorcycle. The victim was eventually transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the accused, identified as Kiymonte Darnell RUNNER. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Armed Robbery – On October 3 at 11:38PM, officers responded to the area of Lindendale Rd and Morrison Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victims, an 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old man both of Stafford, reported to police that they were walking in the above area when they were approached by two unknown black males brandishing firearms.  During the encounter, the suspects took a book bag and money from one of the victims. The suspects then fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported. Officers searched the area for the suspects who were not located. There are no suspect descriptions available at this time. The investigation continues.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On October 2 at 8:15PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15100 block of Holleyside Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported that sometime between 8:00PM on October 1 and 6:30PM on October 2, entry was attempted into the home through a window which had a damaged screen. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
