Police investigate armed robbery and three residential burglaries in Woodbridge area

Armed Robbery –
On February 23 at 11:15PM, officers responded to the Dale City Auto Services Exxon located at 13594 Quate Ln. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. An employee reported to police that an unknown man entered the store and walked behind the counter. During the encounter, the suspect implied he had a weapon and threatened the employee before taking tobacco products from the shelves. The suspect fled the business on foot traveling north towards Ridgefield Rd. No injuries were reported. Officers searched the area for the suspect who was not located.
Suspect Description:
A light-skinned black male, approximately 5’7” and 170lbs., between 40-50 years of age Last seen wearing a gray beanie, a blue sweatshirt and blue jeans

Residential Burglary – On February 24 at 5:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14400 block of Belvedere Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 7:00AM and 4:00PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through the back door which was found damaged. Two firearms were reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 23 at 8:07PM, officers responded to Longview Apartments located in the 13700 block of Lynn St. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary. A resident of an apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 6:00PM and 8:00PM. The investigation revealed that the front door handle was damaged, and the door was found unsecured. No entry appears to have been made into the apartment and no property was reported missing.

Attempted Commercial Burglary – On February 23 at 10:11AM, officers responded to the Halal Food Market located at 1420 Old Bridge Rd. in Woodbridge (221912) to investigate an attempted burglary. A store employee reported to police that sometime between 9:00PM on February 22 and 10:00AM on February 23, entry was attempted into the business through the back door which was found damaged. No entry appears to have been made into the business and no property was reported missing.
