Police detectives at two Lake Ridge locations today for information on homicide

Police seek public’s help. Detectives from the Homicide Unit will be handing out Crime Solvers flyers in regard to last week’s homicide on Caledonia Circle in the Lake Ridge area of Prince William County, VA.

Detectives will be posted at Cotton Mill Drive and Griffith Ave and at Cotton Mill Drive and Hedges Run Drive at around 3 p.m. today. If anyone has any information which can aid in this investigation, you are asked to call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.

MURDER INVESTIGATION – CALEDONIA CIR, WOODBRIDGE

The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in providing information about a murder which was reported to have occurred on Caledonia Cir located in the Woodbridge area of Prince William County.

On November 12th at 8:14PM, police responded to the 3400 block of Caledonia Cir in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a suspicious death. The caller reported to police that she went to visit her friend who resided at a home in the above area. Upon arriving, the caller found the door to the residence unsecured and contacted police. Officers arrived and conducted a search of the home, finding the victim inside the residence. The victim had sustained an injury to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was reportedly last seen on Sunday, November 10th. At this time, detectives from the Homicide Unit are currently investigating this death as a murder. The investigation continues.

          The victim has been identified as a 78 year old man of Woodbridge
