Police arrest same suspect in two Lake Ridge area burglaries

Residential Burglaries in Lake Ridge area – On October 6 at 2:40AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13300 block of Smoketown Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary.

The homeowner reported to police having observed an unknown man inside of the residence. The unknown man, later identified as the accused, fled the scene prior to police arrival. While investigating, a second burglary call came in. Police determined the accused was the same suspect in that burglary.

Responding officers observed the accused attempting to hide between vehicles and he was taken into custody without incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Angel Yobany LOPEZ, was arrested.

Arrested on October 6:
Angel Yobany LOPEZ, 24, of 1912 Briar Rose Ln., Apt. 304 in Woodbridge
Charged with 2 counts of unlawful entry and 1 count of intoxicated in public
Court Date: December 11, 2019 | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond
