One arrested, one at large in malicious wounding incident in Woodbridge Oct. 18

Malicious Wounding – On Sunday, Oct.18 at 6:06PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6200 block of Oscar Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 34-year-old man, reported to police that he was engaged in a texting conversation with an acquaintance known to his daughter, identified as Trey JAMES, over an ongoing issue.

During the text conversation, JAMES made vague threats towards the victim. At one point, JAMES and two other men drove to the victim’s home where the argument continued in front of the residence. A family member of the victim, a 46-year-old woman, was on the phone with police and attempted to record the encounter. The argument escalated as the men returned to their vehicle where one of them, identified as Terrell Andre THOMAS WATSON, threw a glass bottle from the vehicle towards the female victim, striking her in the leg causing multiple lacerations.

The men fled the area prior to police arriving at the home. Virginia State Police troopers located the JAMES suspect and detained him without incident. During a search of the accused, he was found in possession of brass knuckles. Following the investigation, the JAMES suspect was arrested. During his arrest, JAMES refused to follow officer’s commands and resisted. Officers also obtained arrest warrants for the THOMAS WATSON suspect who has not been located.

Described as a black male, 5’7”, 140lbs with a thin build, black hair, and brown eyes
