Oct. 10 a popular day for residential robberies in PWC; ladder used to access one home

**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary – On October 11 at 7:02AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10800 block of Bristow Rd in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 8:30AM on October 10 and 6:30AM on October 11. The investigation revealed that the intruder placed a ladder against the home and made entry through an unsecured upper story window. Firearms and money were reported missing.

Strong Armed Robbery | Residential Burglary – On October 11 at 11:44PM, officers responded to investigate a home invasion which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 1400 block of Forest Ln in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that morning around midnight. The victim, a 48-year-old man, reported to police that he was asleep inside his residence when he woke to two masked men striking him several times. During the encounter, the men demanded money and drugs from the victim. The men took an undisclosed amount of money, marijuana, and other items before fleeing the home. Minor injuries were reported. A kitchen window was found shattered. Officers noted some inconsistences in the victim’s story. This incident does not appear to be random. The victim was only able to describe the suspects as black males with large builds.

Residential Burglary – On October 11 at 11:59AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14700 block of Winding Lp in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an alarm. When officers arrived, they discovered a rear door was damaged. Officers conducted a check of the residence. No suspect(s) were located. A gaming console, games, and equipment were reported missing.

Commercial Burglaries – On October 11 at 9:23AM, officers responded to investigate two commercial burglaries at Festival Plaza located in the 10300 block of Festival Ln in Manassas (20109). The burglaries are believed to have occurred sometime between 8:00PM on October 10 and 9:00AM on October 11. There were no signs of forced entry into either business. In both incidents, entry appears to have been through unsecured rear doors. Money was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On October 10 at 4:46PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11500 block of Hill Meade Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 2:00PM on October 9 and 4:00PM on October 10. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a rear basement window which was found damaged. Several cabinets were rummaged through. No property was reported missing from the residence. Lawn equipment was reported missing from the backyard of the home.

Attempted Commercial Burglary – On October 10 at 12:46PM, officers responded to a community center located in the 1800 block of Ridge Rd in Haymarket (20169) to investigate an attempted burglary. The property staff reported to police that sometime between 8:00PM on October 9 and 11:30AM on October 10, entry was attempted into the building through rear door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the building and no property was reported missing.
