Occoquan Forest house fire damage estimated at $65,000

Prince William County Fire and Rescue reported Feb. 18 that on Monday, Feb. 16 at approximately 5:30 p.m. fire and rescue crews were dispatched to a structure fire in a single-family home located in the 6200 block of Occoquan Forest Drive in Manassas.

Upon arrival, firefighters observed fire showing from the front and rear of the home through the wood stove exhaust and moving upward on the exterior portion of the home.  Firefighters proceeded to suppress and extinguish the fire with no further extension to the home, according to a news release.

No injuries reported. 

According to the Fire Marshal’s Office, preliminary damages were estimated at $65,000.
