Nokesville man turns self in in connection with sexual assault case

Aggravated Sexual Battery – On Friday, Dec. 18, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department’s Special Victims Unit in coordination with Child Protective Services, concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the Nokesville (20181) area of Prince William County sometime between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2018.

The female victim, who was between 10-11 years of age at the time of the offense, was sexually assaulted by a family member, identified as the accused, during the above time frame. The victim reported the incident to an acquaintance who contacted the police, prompting the investigation.

While investigating, detectives determined that there was an additional sexual assault that occurred between Feb.11- Feb. 29, 2020 of the victim, who was 13-years-old, by the accused. Following the investigation, on Dec.2, detectives obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Edgar Arcides VENTURA, who turned himself in on Dec. 18.
