Next community meeting on 13th high school options to be held Sept. 23

The Office of Facilities Services for Prince William County Public Schools presented information on two sites and two building designs under consideration for the School Division’s 13th high school at the first of two community meetings Sept. 14. The presentation is posted to the Facilities Services website.

The public is invited to attend the second scheduled meeting which will be held at Patriot High School on Tuesday, September 23 at 7 p.m.

The two sites under consideration are a proffered high school site of 85 acres included in the Stone Haven rezoning application and the proposed Rollins Ford Park, a 69-acre site. The two building design prototypes being considered are Battlefield/Freedom High School and Patriot High School.

The 13th high school will likely serve some students from areas currently assigned to Patriot, Battlefield, and Stonewall Jackson High Schools. The school is slated to open in 2020.
