New school staff named–from principal to aquatics and web and social media coordinators

Prince William County Schools has filled ten positions ranging from principal at Victory Elementary to counseling coordinator for the Office of English Learner Programs and Services.

Christopher “Chad” Wray, previously the assistant principal at Piney Branch Elementary School, has been named principal of Victory Elementary School, replacing Donna Kirby who is retiring September 30.

Bill Childress, previously administrative intern at Patriot High School, has been appointed assistant principal at Battlefield High School effective August 9.

Lee Holland, previously assistant principal at Randallstown High School, Randallstown, MD, has been appointed assistant principal at Hylton High School effective August 10.

Pam Mahone, previously executive secretary I in the Department of Human Resources, has been appointed administrative coordinator, Classified, in the Department of Human Resources effective August 15.

Sean McDonald, previously principal of SEED School of Washington, DC, has been appointed administrative coordinator, Classified, in Department of Human Resources effective August 15.

Karla Tilgner, previously an information specialist in Communication Services, has been appointed supervisor of Web and Social Media, effective August 8. Karla will serve jointly in the position with the incumbent, Mary Anne Billingsley, until Mrs. Billingsley’s retirement at the end of October.

Karen Taylor and Evelyn Astwood have been appointed administrative coordinators in the Office of Special Education effective August 17 and 22 respectively.

Ashley Fink, formerly aquatic specialist 1 with PWC Parks & Recreation, has been appointed aquatics program coordinator at Colgan High School.

Regala Perez Pino, previously director, military school counseling program, has been appointed PEP and EL counseling coordinator for the Office of English Learner Programs and Services.
