**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On August 18 at 10:38PM, officers responded to the 18000 block of Fraley Blvd in the Town of Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 42-year-old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he was walking in the area of White Haven Dr and Main St when he was approached by two acquaintances. During the encounter, the victim was punched in the face knocking him to the ground. The suspects then took the victim’s cell phone and demanded money. When the victim refused, one of the men brandished a handgun and forced the victim to walk to a nearby business in order to retrieve money from an ATM machine. While in the business, a Town of Dumfries police officer on routine patrol entered the business and the suspects fled the area. The victim then made contact with the officer. Minor injuries were reported. This incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary – On August 18 at 3:32PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 16600 block of Blackjack Oak Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary in progress. A resident reported to police that he saw an unknown man carrying several black trash bags filled with unknown items. When the resident approached the man, he fled in a black SUV. Upon further investigation, officers determined that two apartments were found to have been entered through the front doors which were found damaged. A firearm, jewelry, computer tablet, and digital camera were reported missing.

A black male, 6’0”, 300lbs with a heavy build, brown eyes, black hair, and a goatee
Last seen wearing an orange and brown plaid shirt with blue jean shorts

Burglary while Armed – On August 17 at 3:17PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14200 block of Ferndale Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary in progress. The victim, a 30-year-old woman, reported to police that she was inside the residence when an acquaintance and three unknown men entered the home armed with a handgun and a knife. When the victim saw the men, she ran to an upstairs bedroom and contacted police. The suspects fled prior to officers arriving without taking any property. No injuries were reported. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. This incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.
