May 15 workshop about profit in growing produce

Love to garden? Thinking about whether all your efforts at growing local produce could help support your family? A workshop on “Profitable Greenhouse Production of Local Produce,” will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Tuesday, May 15, at the Old Courthouse, 9248 Lee Avenue, Manassas, 20110. This Manassas workshop is one of four on the same topic that will be held at various locations in the state during May.

At this training, Virginia Cooperative Extension specialists will cover these topics: High Tunnel Production of Local Produce; Greenhouse Selection and Construction; Crop Production Details; Integrated Pest Management for Greenhouse Edibles; Marketing Your Local Produce and Is Your Operation Profitable?, according to a news release.
