Maryland duo charged with reckless handling of a firearm in Nokesville

MPO Renee Carr, public information officer for the Prince William County Police Department, filed the following report on Monday, Aug. 17, 2020:

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On Sunday, August 16 at 4:40PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12600 block of Garman Dr. in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a shots fired call. Upon arrival, officers located damage to the trim of a window consistent with being struck by a round. While investigating, an additional round was fired in the direction of the residence.

Officers quickly determined that the rounds were coming from a nearby residence and made contact with two men who were outside firing rounds. The investigation revealed that the two men fired the rounds towards a self-made target. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.

Following the investigation, both men, identified as Grant Fox BONDURANT and Liam Philip FRIEL, were arrested.

Arrested on August 16:
Grant Fox BONDURANT, 24, of 7047 Copperwood Way in Columbia, MD
Liam Philip FRIEL, 21, of 16900 Olde Mill Run in Derwood, MD
Both were charged with reckless handling of a firearm
Court Date: Pending | Status: Released on a Court Summons
