Unidentified Human Remains Discovered
The Manassas City Police Department is investigating the discovery of unidentified human remains in a wooded area near the intersection of Dumfries Road and Manassas Mill Road.  Landscape workers in the area made the discovery and notified police at 2:36 p.m. Friday, September 14.  The investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released when available.

Residential Burglary
The Manassas City Police Department is investigating the burglary of a residence on the 8900 block of Fort Drive.  The resident reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12.  There were signs of forced entry through a door at the back of the residence.  A laptop computer and jewelry were reported missing.

Residential Burglary
The Manassas City Police Department is investigating the burglary of a residential storage shed on the 8500 block of Richmond Avenue.  The resident reported to police that the burglary occurred between 1 p.m.Sunday, September 2, and 6 p.m.Thursday, September 13.  There were signs of forced entry through the door of the shed.  A Toro Snow Blower was reported missing.

Suspicious Occurrence
The Manassas City Police Department is investigating a suspicious occurrence in the 10200 block of Cedar Ridge Drive.  A resident reported to police that at 9 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, she observed an unknown male in the back yard, possibly looking through her window.  When she screamed, the man fled.  She described him as a Hispanic male, between 18-25 years of age, with glasses and a thin mustache.  Police searched the area, but did not find the man.

PW Police report passenger dies from injuries sustained in an April 15 traffic collision

The investigation revealed the driver of a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 Pickup truck was traveling westbound on Yates Ford Rd. approaching Evans Ford Rd. when a 1993 Buick Roadmaster traveling eastbound on Yates Ford Rd. entered the intersection in front of the truck’s path of travel. The truck and Roadmaster collided within the intersection. The driver and female passenger of the Roadmaster were transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. A Pug in the Roadmaster was declared deceased on scene.
