Manassas City Police Beat 1/30/12

Manassas City police officers are investigating an assault that occurred on Jan. 25, 2012, at approximately 7:25 a.m., in the area of Brent Street and Main Street. The victim told officers that she was walking to school (Osbourn High School) when she was attacked by two females.

According to the victim, she asked the females why they were doing this to her when they stopped, apologized and told her that they had the wrong person. The offenders were described as both being approximately 5’4” and medium built. One of the offenders had a Spanish accent. They were both wearing black hooded sweatshirts and blue jeans at the time of the assault. The victim sustained injuries to her face, stemming from the assault. This investigation is ongoing.

Vandalism to Auto
Manassas City police pfficers were called to the 9200 block of Byrd Drive, regarding vandalism to a vehicle. The victim advised officers that between 10 .m. on Jan. 24, 2012 and 5:15 a.m. on Jan. 25, 2012, someone(s) broke his vehicle’s front windshield. The cost of the vandalism was estimated at approximately $350. This investigation is ongoing.
