Robbery
Manassas City Police are investigating a robbery incident that occurred on Oct. 26, 2011, between 11:35 p.m. and midnight, in the area of Byrd Drive and Taney Road. The victim advised officers that he was walking home when he was approached by a black male and a light skinned black or Hispanic female. The male punched the victim in the face and head numerous times, causing the victim to fall to the ground. The suspects then removed the victim’s wallet from his pocket and continued to assault him while he was still down on the ground. Stolen were various documents and an undisclosed amount of money. The victim had to be transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
The victim could not supply officers with the suspects’ description, only that the male was wearing a black jacket and a grey hood and the female was wearing a red jacket and jeans.
This investigation is ongoing.

Narcotics Arrest
On Oct. 27, 2011, at approximately 12:45 a.m., Manassas City police officers were searching the area of Beech Place, near Byrd Drive, for two robbery suspects when they encountered two suspicious subjects sitting in a car.
Further investigation revealed that the passenger, Treavous Antjuan Moten, 32, of 9749 Beech Place, was in possession of several baggies of Marijuana and narcotics paraphernalia.
Moten was placed under arrest and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute. He was held at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center on a $5,000 bond. His court date was set for Nov. 22, 2011.
