Man stabbed with knife; police officer burned with cigarette

Prince William County VA Police Department arrests reported on Monday, July 25, 2016:

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding | Stabbing Investigation – On July 25 at 11:03PM, officers responded to the area of Emberdale Dr and Eileen Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 25-year-old man of Alexandria, and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused picked up a knife and threw it at the victim striking him in the upper body. The parties eventually separated and the victim contacted police. A responding officer located and detained the accused a short distance away without incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Vincent Yaw ANTWI, 25, of 7654 Audubon Meadow Way in Alexandria
Charged with malicious wounding

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 24 at 4:55PM, officers responded to the area of Cardinal Dr and Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a two vehicle crash. When an officer arrived, contact was made with the accused who refused to provide any identifying information. When the officer asked the accused to step out of his vehicle, the driver burned the officer in the hand with a cigarette then sped away eventually stopping in front of his residence on Grist Mill Terrace. As officers approached the vehicle, they issued multiple commands to the accused, all of which were ignored. The accused was quickly removed from the vehicle then detained without further incident. Minor injuries were reported to the officer. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
Arrested on July 24:
Temple Lee DARRY, Jr., 40, of 15354 Grist Mill Terrace in Woodbridge
Charged with assault & battery on a LEO, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, hit and run, and no operator’s license
Court Date: August 17, 2016 | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond
