Make recycling pledge today: November 15 is America Recycles Day!
Today, Nov. 15, is America Recycles Day. Residents are asked to support recycling in our community and take the America Recycles Day pledge. The Prince William County office of Solid Waste suggests that residents:
• Commit to recycle more or use products made with recycled materials and take the “I Recycle” pledge at americarecyclesday.org/pledge before Nov. 20.
• Learn about where to recycle in our community by going to the Keep America Beautiful recycling locator at http://www.iwanttoberecycled.org/ or www.pwcgov.org/recycling.
• Complete the “I Recycle” pledge online and enter a drawing to win regional prizes. Prizes include a $300 REI gift card or, $300 REI gift card and $500 grant to a local school’s K-12 environmental program. Learn more about the prize drawing at http://www.mwcog/recyclesday.
A lucky Prince William recycler has won a regional prize each year since 2013! In 2018 Prince William won both prizes, according to a news release from Prince William County Government.
