Kindergarten registration countywide April 26

Kindergarten registration for the 2012-13 school year will be held Thursday, April 26 at individual schools. Parents should contact their school for specific registration times.

During the kindergarten registration, school officials will ask parents of children who speak or understand a different first language, in addition to or instead of American English, to make an appointment for an English language evaluation. This evaluation helps determine the language support children might need to be successful in school.

Beginning Friday, April 27, English language learners not yet registered at school, will register and be evaluated at Central Registration. Parents should call one of two Central Registration locations, the new site located at Stonewall Middle School in Manassas at 571-402-3800, or the Ann Ludwig site in Woodbridge at 703-491-8432.
