Guns and knife used over holiday weekend; homes burglarized but nothing missing

**INCIDENTS**
Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling –
On July 5 at 11:00AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1200 block of Bayside Ave. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting into an occupied dwelling.

The homeowner reported to police that at approximately 1:00AM a loud bang was heard outside. Later that morning, the homeowner observed debris from the wall and ceiling. A possible bullet hole was located by officers in the wall of the bedroom. No injuries or other property damage were reported.

Strong-Arm Robbery – On July 6 at 12:22PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery that occurred in Featherstone Plaza located at 1800 Featherstone Pz. in Woodbridge (22191) on July 5. The victim, a 29-year-old man, reported to police that at approximately 10:30PM the night before, he was walking home from a business in Featherstone Plaza when two unknown males approached him and demanded his money.

During the encounter, one of the suspects produced a knife and threatened the victim while demanding his money. The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction after the victim gave them his wallet containing an undisclosed amount of money. The victim reported the incident the next day prompting the police investigation. No injuries were reported. The only description of the suspects were one white male and one black male, both with thin builds wearing all dark clothing.

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On July 7 at 11:02PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 19300 block of Belleau Wood Dr. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a shooting into an occupied dwelling. The investigation revealed multiple apartments had property damage from bullet holes. Two apartments were located with their sliding glass doors damaged. Additional property damage was reported on the exterior walls. One apartment was occupied at the time of the shooting. Officers conducted a canvass of the area with negative results. Multiple shell casings were collected from the parking lot by officers. No injuries were reported.

Residential Burglary – On July 6 at 12:36AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12100 block of Cornwell Dr. in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that while inside the home she heard noises from the basement area and contacted police. Initially, no property damage was reported, or items misplaced. Later, another occupant of the home reported that their room was rummaged through. The investigation revealed entry was gained through the unsecured basement window. No property was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On July 5 at 11:35PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15400 block of Groveside Ct. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a burglary. A resident of the home reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 12:00AM and 4:15PM. The investigation revealed that entry was gained into the residence through the secured front door which was found damaged. No items were reported missing.
