Fire displaces 7 adults, 7 children early on Aug. 25
At 1:07 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, fire and rescue units were dispatched to the 13000 blk of Langstone Drive (Dale City) for a reported house fire. Crews arrived with heavy fire and smoke emitting from the rear of the home.
The fire was discovered by one of the home’s occupants who alerted the others within the home. The home sustained extensive damage. A neighboring home to the rear of the address suffered minor radiant heat damage.
No injuries were reported. The Building Official declared the home unsafe to occupy displacing 7 adults and 7 children, who are being assisted by the American Red Cross. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
