Girl, 14, charged with false threat to bomb Potomac Middle School

Threats to Bomb on School Grounds – On October 29 around 9:30AM, a School Resource Officer (SRO) received information of a potential threat of violence at Potomac Middle School located at 3130 Panther Pride Dr in Dumfries (22026). The investigation revealed that a student made statements of potential violence to other students at the school earlier that morning while walking in the hallway. The SRO subsequently identified the student and determined that the risk to the school was not credible. Following the investigation, the SRO charged the student. The case will be handled through Juvenile Intake.
