Father’s Day criminal activity reported to county police

Brandishing – On June 16 at 7:40PM, officers responded to investigate a brandishing that was reported to have occurred near the intersection of Jefferson Davis Hwy. and Potomac Club Pkwy. in Woodbridge (22192) The victim, a 47-year-old man, reported to police that while traveling southbound on Jefferson Davis Hwy., approaching Potomac Club Pkwy., another vehicle described as a blue SUV, merged from the right lane causing him to have to suddenly brake to avoid a collision. During the encounter, the victim sounded his horn which caused the suspect vehicle to slow down and travel next to the victim. The driver then brandished a silver handgun and pointed it towards the victim. Shortly after the handgun was brandished, the vehicle turned into Potomac Club Pkwy. The victim left the area and reported the incident to police. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 16 at 3:24PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 12200 block of Creekview Cl. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted burglary. A resident of the home reported to police that he was inside his apartment when he heard strange noises at his front door. When the resident checked on the noise, an unknown Hispanic male, was seen outside the door with a pry tool in his hand. When the resident tried to speak with the suspect, the man walked away from the residence in an unknown direction. No property damage was reported.

A Hispanic male between 18-20 years of age, 5’3”, 125Lbs.
Last seen wearing a baseball cap over straight black hair with a dark colored shirt and blue jeans
