Dumfries homeowner discovers a bullet in bathroom wall

**INCIDENTS**
Shooting into a Dwelling –
On December 17 at 3:40PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3100 block of Yew Grove Pl in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a destruction of property. The homeowner reported to police that a bullet was located in the wall of a bathroom inside the residence. No injuries or other property damage was reported. The incident occurred sometime between 5:00AM and 3:00PM. Officers searched the area and did not locate any shell casings. The investigation continues.

Malicious Wounding – On December 18 at 12:37AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 17300 block of Mine Rd in Dumfries (22025) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 31-year-old man, was involved in a verbal altercation inside of the home with a 38-year-old woman. The accused, an acquaintance of the woman, was notified about the argument and responded to the residence a short time later where he was let in by another resident. The accused kicked open the victim’s bedroom door, brandished a firearm at the victim, and then threatened him. The accused pistol-whipped the victim before fleeing the residence in his vehicle. Minor injuries were reported by the victim. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Jesse Lee LOTHARP. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
Wanted:
Jesse Lee LOTHARP, 37, of 800 block of Southern Ave SE, Washington, D.C.
Described as a black male, 5’09”, 200lbs, brown eyes and brown hair
Wanted for malicious wounding, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony

Commercial Burglary – On December 17 at 12:16PM, officers responded to the Roman’s Pub located at 336 Potomac Ave in the Town of Quantico (22134) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed that the burglary occurred sometime between 3:00PM on December 14 and 10:00AM on December 17. Entry was made into the business through a door, which found damaged. Money from the cash register was reported missing, according to the police report.
