**INCIDENTS**

Strangulation – On March 1st at 8:24PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16300 block of Taconic Cir in Dumfries (22025) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 47 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused strangled the victim to point that she almost lost consciousness. The victim was able to free herself from the accused and contact police. The accused fled the home prior to police arriving in the area. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused.

Indecent Exposure – On March 1st at 5:18PM, officers responded to the Village Thrift Store located at 13700 Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 29 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that while she was shopping inside the store she encountered an unknown man in the women’s department. During the encounter, the man exposed himself to the victim. When the victim informed the store’s manager of the incident, the man left the store. Officers checked the surrounding area for the suspect who was not located.
Suspect Description:
White male, between 40 & 50 years of age, 5’8”, 160lbs with a thin build, shoulder length hair and an unshaven face
Last seen wearing a camouflage baseball hat, black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white sneakers

Residential Burglary – On February 27th at 11:13AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15800 block of Bobolink Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00AM and 7:00PM on February 26th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Multiple boxes containing clothing items, a laptop, gaming console and miscellaneous property were reported missing from an attached garage. No entry was made into the main residence.

Residential Burglary – On March 1st at 2:15PM, officers responded to a condominium located in the 3300 block of Yost Ln in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary. The property owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM on January 24th and 12:00PM on February 27th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Miscellaneous home goods were reported missing.

Grand Larceny of Department Issued Firearm – On February 27th at 3:23PM, officers responded to the 10800 block of Gambril Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a stolen firearm. The caller, a Prince William County police officer, reported that between 11:00PM on February 25th and 2:11PM on February 27th, someone made entry into his department vehicle. The vehicle was reportedly locked during this timeframe and there were no signs of forced entry. The officer’s department issued firearm, magazines and holster were reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On February 26th at 10:45PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14500 block of Filarete St in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 35 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, strangled her. The victim was able to free herself from the accused and contact police. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, the arrest was accused.

Charged with strangulation and domestic assault & battery

Armed Robbery | Malicious Wounding – On February 27th at 7:35PM, officers responded to the 10900 block of Coverstone Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 64 year old woman of Manassas Park, reported to police that she made arrangements to meet with the accused, a known acquaintance, in the area above to sell jewelry. One in the area, the accused sprayed a chemical in the victim’s face before striking her with the chemical’s canister. The accused then took a bag containing the jewelry and fled on foot. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, detectives from the Robbery Unit obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused who was later located at an address on Coverstone Dr and arrested without further incident.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On March 1st at 3:25PM, officers responded to the 14700 block of Potomac Mills Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for a report of an intoxicated person. Officers arrived in the area and located the individual who was identified as the accused. During the encounter, officers determined the accused was under the influence of alcohol and placed him under arrest. Once in the backseat of a police cruiser, the accused began kicking the door. When one of the officers attempted to calm the accused down, he kicked the officer in the leg. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation the accused was arrested.

Distribution of Obscene Material | Crimes against Nature-Cruelty to Animals – In January of 2015, Prince William County detectives began an investigation into an alleged bestiality complaint involving the accused who resides in the 11200 block of Chatterly Lp in Manassas (20109). The investigation revealed that between April of 2013 and December of 2014, the accused conspired with an adult woman through in-person and online conversations to perform sexual acts on a male dog, identified as a Lab mix belonging to the accused. During those encounters, the accused arranged a meeting in another jurisdiction where these acts were committed and recorded. After the acts were completed, the accused used a computer at his residence to download the material which was then distributed over the internet. Through the investigation, detectives identified a second woman as also having knowledge of the acts committed. The accused was originally arrested on January 29th in connection to this active investigation. At that time, the accused attempted sexual contact with a female dog, identified as a Husky/Lab mix, also owned by the accused. Around the same time, the accused also filmed other acts with animals committed in other jurisdictions and distributed them over the internet from a computer at his home. A search warrant was obtained and executed at the home at that time. As a result of the search, evidence and both dogs were located in the residence. The dogs were seized and examined by a veterinarian. Both currently remain in police custody at the animal shelter. As the investigation continued, additional charges relating to the conspiracy were later obtained on February 18th. This investigation remains active and is continuing.

Charged on January 29th with attempted crimes against nature-cruelty to animals, use of a computer to distribute obscene materials and distribution of obscene materials
Charged on February 18th with conspiracy to commit a felony, use of a computer to distribute obscene materials and distribution of obscene materials
Court date: March 13, 2015 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond
