County Police charge two parties in relation to Manassas domestic violence incident

Malicious Wounding | Domestic Assault & Battery – On June 19 at 11:30PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 10600 block of Blendia Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic assault.

The investigation revealed the two parties, a man and woman, were involved in a verbal alteration that escalated physically. During the encounter, the female party, identified as Julyssa GARCIA, bit the male party in the arm before retrieving a kitchen knife and cutting him. The male party sustained a serious laceration to his arm as a result. Police and medical staff arrived and transported the male to the hospital.

The initial physical altercation was determined to be mutual resulting in both parties being charged for their involvement. While on scene, officers also located marijuana. Following the investigation, Julyssa GARCIA and the male party, identified as Daren Al-Wayne MULLINS, were arrested.
