Woman reports purse grabbed, money taken after she cashes check at bank

Strong-Armed Robbery | Domestic Related – On October 4 at 2:06PM, officers responded to investigate a domestic assault that was reported to have occurred in the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that afternoon. The victim, a 53-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were at a bank in the above area where she cashed a check. Upon returning to her vehicle, the accused grabbed the victim’s purse leading to a struggle. The accused assaulted the victim and was able to retrieve an undisclosed amount of money from the purse before exiting the vehicle and leaving on foot. The victim returned to her residence where she was confronted by the accused leading to a verbal altercation. The parties eventually separated and the accused left the residence. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Anthony Joseph PROCTOR. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Attempted Strangulation | Domestic Related – On October 5 at 9:42AM, officers responded to investigate a domestic assault that was reported to have occurred at an apartment located in the 14300 block of Jeffries Rd in Woodbridge (22191) on October 4. The victim, a 32-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, grabbed her around the neck where he attempted to strangle her. The parties eventually separated and the accused left the residence. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Preston Antione MILLS. The accused turned himself into police later that day.

Abduction | Domestic Related – On October 5 at 9:20PM, officers responded to investigate a domestic assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 12100 block of Cardamom Dr in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that afternoon. The victim, a 26-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, held her against her will. The parties eventually separated and the victim left the home. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jose Humberto CRUZ AMAYA, was arrested.
