Cell phone purchase deal turns out to be a robbery

Armed Robbery *ARRESTS – On December 10th, detectives from the Robbery Unit identified and arrested two of the suspects involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 1500 block of Randall Ct in Woodbridge on November 27th. The investigation revealed that both females knowingly setup the incident as a robbery under the guise of a cell phone purchase. Through the investigation, detectives identified the armed male suspect and the initial female suspect that contacted the victim. Both suspects were arrested without incident on December 10th. Detectives are continuing the investigation to identify and arrest the remaining suspect.

Armando Misael MARROQUIN-MANZANO, 19, of 3805 Elwood Dr in Alexandria
Charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On November 27th at 12:32AM, officers responded to the 1500 block of Randall Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 21 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he made arrangements over Facebook to meet with two unknown women in the above area to sell a cell phone. Once in the area, the victim met with the women in front of a residence. During the encounter, an unknown man approached the group and pulled out a handgun, demanding the victim’s phone. The man took the phone before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported.
