BEACON for Adult Literacy to train volunteers March 21 to assist ESL students
BEACON for Adult Literacy will hold a free training session on Saturday, March 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for adult volunteers who want to help the organization’ s ESL (English as a Second Language) students.
Volunteers are needed to help students improve their English literacy skills (from low-beginner to advanced levels), obtain citizenship or prepare for the GED.
No experience is needed is help teach the ESL students. Classes are offered In Manassas, mornings or evenings, Monday through Friday. Spring semester runs from April through June. A specific curriculum is used.
