Bank robbed at gunpoint Oct. 8; two charged in pain medication case

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Bank Robbery – On October 8th at 9:32AM, officers responded to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 2867 Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the bank armed with a handgun. The man approached the counter and demanded money from the teller. The suspect fled the bank on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 and helicopter reported to search for the suspect who was not located.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 5’11”-6’0”, 150-160lbs with a thin build, medium complexion, black hair and brown eyes
Last seen wearing a red polo shirt with a black stripe across the middle, and the word “SPAIN” on the front, black pants or jeans and white tennis shoes

Strong Armed Robbery – On October 7th at 8:20PM, officers responded to the area of the Prince William Pkwy and Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 36 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was riding his bicycle in the above area when he was approached by two unknown men. During the encounter, one of the men knocked the victim from his bicycle before taking it and fleeing. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects who were not located.

1st suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt
2nd suspect was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt

Residential Burglary – On October 7th at 8:30AM, officers responded to a residence under construction located in the 4500 block of Dodds Mill Dr in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary. The site manger reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:30PM on October 2nd and 8:30AM on October 5th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. A microwave was reported missing.

Commercial Burglary – On October 6th at 9:11AM, officers responded to Metro PCS located at 8290 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20111) to investigate a burglary. Upon reviewing the business video surveillance system, an unknown person was seen striking the glass multiple times with a hammer around 2:30AM. The glass was broken out and entry was made into the business. Multiple cell phones were reported missing. A similar incident was reported at a nearby business on October 5th.

Attempted Commercial Burglary [Previously Released] – On October 5th at 11:08AM, officers responded to Teppanyaki Grill & Supreme Buffet located at 8260 Shoppers Sq in Manassas (20111) to investigate an attempted burglary. An employee reported to police that sometime between 11:00PM on October 4th and 10:30AM on October 5th, entry was attempted into the business through a front glass window which was found damaged. Video surveillance revealed that an unknown person struck the glass multiple times with a hammer. The safety glass prevented entry into the business and no property was reported missing.

Male, unknown race, between 20 & 30 years of age, 5’11”, 175lbs with a thin build
Last seen wearing a blue heavy hooded coat, blue jeans, black gloves and black shoes

**ARRESTS**

Narcotics Investigation – On October 7th, detectives from the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force concluded a narcotics investigation involving the distribution of prescription pain medications with the execution of arrest warrants at the Excel Medical Clinic located at 14904 Jefferson Davis Hwy, #205 in Woodbridge (22191). The investigation revealed that the unlicensed physician at the practice, identified as Shrihash POLE, and a nurse practitioner, identified as Janelle HIBSON, were writing and then selling prescriptions for pain medications without properly performing the necessary exams. This investigation was initiated by the regional task force in October of 2014 after it was discovered that unusually large amount of pain medications were being prescribed. Following the investigation, both targets were arrested without incident on October 7th. The Prince William County Police Department is committed to providing educational assistance on current trends with pill diversion to the prescribers of these medications. Any prescriber wishing to speak to a detective is asked to call 703-686-6522. Our goal through this educational assistance is to have prescribers gain a better understanding of the behavior of addicts, learn more about the relationship between prescription pills and the current heroin epidemic, and further discuss the utilization of systems currently in place such as the prescription monitoring program.

Shriharsh POLE, 61, of 3001 Rose Creek Ct in Oakton
Janelle Annette HIBSON, 60, of 28 South Pointe Ln in Fredericksburg
Both were charged with 7 counts of distribution of a schedule I or II narcotic
