Armed guard, suspect exchange gunfire
Shooting Investigation – On July 20 at 1:49AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the El Ranchon located at 13638 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting.
The investigation revealed that an armed security guard, identified as an adult male, heard gunshots outside of the business. When he went to investigate, he observed several unknown subjects getting into a vehicle.
At some point, one of the subjects leaned out of the vehicle as it was leaving and began shooting at the security guard. The security guard exchanged gunshots with the suspect before the vehicle fled the area.
There were no reports of injuries or any property damage. No charges are pending at this time. There is no suspect description available at this time. The investigation continues.
