Registration begins Tuesday, April 1 for summer school at Northern Virginia Community College.
Classes in the 12-week session begin May 19 and end Aug. 10.
NOVA also offers two six-week sessions during the summer, starting May 19 and June 30.
Students may register 24 hours a day online at http://www.nvcc.edu For p.ersonal assistance, visit a campus in Manassas, Woodbridge, Alexandria, Annandale, Loudoun or Springfield during regular business hours.
Until April 28, students can register early to lock in their classes without paying tuition. Starting April 28, tuition is due by 5 p.m. on the next business day after enrolling.
College students home for the summer can earn NOVA credits that may transfer to their four-year residential colleges. Most colleges and universities accept NOVA credits but students should consult their residential college before registering, according to a news release from Carlene Mackereth, information officer for the Manassas and Woodbridge campuses.
Those who want independent study or a more flexible schedule can choose online courses through NOVA’s Extended Learning Institute. Online courses start at frequent intervals throughout the year.
