Alleged abduction Sept. 6 ties up law enforcement in Fairfax, Prince William. Montgomery counties

Abduction – On September 6 at 7:40PM, officers responded to investigate an abduction which was reported to have occurred in the 3600 block of McDowell Ct in Dumfries (22026) earlier that evening.

Information was initially received through the Fairfax County Public Safety Communication Center by two men claiming to have been abducted from in front of a residence in the above area in Prince William County.

Fairfax County authorities remained in contact with the victims via text and relayed pertinent information that the victims were in a vehicle possibly in Montgomery County, MD.

Prince William County officers met with an acquaintance of the victims who also had a text conversation with the two acquaintances about being abducted. The victims were identified as a 25-year-old man and a 19-year old man.

Law enforcement in Fairfax County, Montgomery County and Prince William County conducted a coordinated effort in an attempt to locate the victims. During the investigation, police learned that the victims jumped from the suspect vehicle at a location in Montgomery County where they were then able to flee on foot from their abductors.

The victims were not willing to meet with police about the incident. An address in Montgomery County was eventually provided to police were officers located the victims unharmed. The suspects were not immediately identified. This incident appears to be gang related. The investigation continues.
