Gunshots fired into two residences over the weekend; police find shell casings

Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On July 24 at 12:10AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 3400 block of Woolfenden Ct. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a shots fired call. A resident of the home reported to police that while inside the home, gunshots were fired into the residence. No injuries were reported.

The investigation revealed that shots were fired from the roadway, which stuck and entered the home. A light-colored sedan was seen fleeing the area shortly after the shots were fired. Shell casings were located in the roadway in front of the residence. No additional property damage was reported.

Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On July 25 at 12:45AM, officers responded to a residence in the 4100 block of Hoffman Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. A resident of the home reported to police that while inside the home, gunshots were fired into the residence. No injuries were reported.

The investigation revealed that an unknown individual fired several rounds towards and into the home before quickly fleeing on foot. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located. Shell casings were located in the roadway in front of the home. No additional property damage was reported.
