Suspect grabs neck of woman several times, police report

Strangulation | Domestic Related – On July 19 at 2:28AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 15200 block of Streamside Ct. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a domestic. Upon arrival, officers detained a man, later identified as the accused, who was determined to be intoxicated.

The victim, a 29-year-old woman, reported to police that she and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated.

During the encounter, the accused grabbed her neck on more than one occasion. Eventually the parties separated, and the accused left the residence where he encountered officers.

The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Anthony Allen WILSON, was arrested.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On July 19 at 4:50PM, officers responded to the Westgate Apartments located in the 8000 block of Ashland Ave. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that a group of people were gathered in the parking lot of the above location when a shot was fired. The group dispersed before police arrived at the location.

No injuries or property damage were reported. A shell casing was located in the parking lot.

Residential Burglary – On July 19 at 4:43PM, officers responded to the Oasis at Montclair Apartmentslocated in the 16400 block of Stedham Cl. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a burglary. A resident of an apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 6:00AM on July 16 and 3:00PM on July 19. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the apartment through the front door which was found damaged. Clothing was reported missing.
