Woodbridge resident finds bullet in bathroom wall

Shooting into a Residential Dwelling –
On July 9 at 11:40AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a destruction of property that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 2300 block of Battery Hill Cl. in Woodbridge (22191) between 8:40PM on July 8 and 9:55AM on July 9.

Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer, said the investigation revealed that a round entered the home through a second story bathroom window and traveled through the shower before striking the mirror and lodging in the wall. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.

Commercial Burglary – On July 9 at 7:50AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the ZIPS Dry Cleaners located at 13584 Minnieville Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The owner of the store reported to police that he observed items were tampered with upon entering the business that morning, MPO Carr said.

According to Carr, video surveillance footage revealed that two unknown men were observed inside the store at approximately 12:45AM. The two men proceeded to the counter where they tampered with the cash registers before leaving the store. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the business through the secured back door which was found damaged. There is no suspect description at this time.
