County police locate gun on school property at 3:30 a.m., pick up unauthorized teens

Weapon on School Property – On September 29 at 3:30AM, officers responded to Graham Park Middle School located at 3613 Graham Park Rd. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a trespassing complaint.

Upon arrival, officers located four individuals, one adult male and three male juveniles, in the area of the loading dock.

During the investigation, one of the juveniles was found in possession of a firearm. Officers quickly took possession of the weapon and secured it. There were no shots fired and no property damage was located.

The investigation revealed the group of males had no lawful reason to be on the school grounds at that time. Following the investigation, two of the suspects were charged. The two other juveniles, both 16, were cited for being in violation of curfew and released to their parents.
