Jewelry reported missing in burglary; wallet missing in robbery attempt

Residential Burglary – On August 10 at 1:25PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 12:00AM on August 3 and 7:39PM on August 9. The investigation revealed that entry may have been made into the apartment through the front door. Jewelry was reported missing.

Armed Robbery – On August 10 at 8:57PM, officers responded to the Misty Ridge apartments located in the 2000 block of Horizon Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 21-year-old man, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by three unknown men. During the encounter, the victim reportedly felt what was believed to be a gun pressed up against his body before being struck in the head with the alleged weapon. The suspects took the victim’s wallet before fleeing on foot. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 searched for the suspect who was not located. All three suspects were described as black men, one with dreadlocks wearing a white tank- top.
