Guns, people and cars involved in Dumfries and Nokesville incidents

Shooting Investigation – On May 6 at 5:50PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shooting. Officers arrived and were unable to locate any party involved in the incident. No injuries or property damage were located.

Officers did locate and collect a bullet fragment found in the area. A witness reported to police that two unknown men got out of a black SUV and approached two silver vehicles that were parked near one another. One of the men then shot a handgun at one of the silver vehicles. The witness immediately left the area after the gunshot was heard.

Officers did not locate the vehicles involved. The witness was only able to describe the two men initially seen as black males.

Brandishing a Firearm – On May 6 at 8:45PM, officers responded to investigate a brandishing that was reported to have occurred near the intersection of Hornbaker Rd. and Nokesville Rd. in Manassas (20109) earlier that evening.

The victims, identified as two adult females, reported to police that they were walking in the area above when a red Honda Civic, occupied by four unknown men, pulled up next to them.

During the encounter, one of the passengers pointed a silver gun at the victims and pulled the trigger multiple times. No projectiles were discharged. The vehicle fled the area. The victims returned to their home and contacted police.

No injuries or property damage was reported. The victims were only able to describe the occupants as black males.
