Dumfries bank on US 1 robbed Dec. 14 by suspects wearing ski masks

**INCIDENTS**

Bank Robbery – On December 14 at 1:57PM, officers responded to the United Bank located at 17054 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. Employees of the bank reported to police that two unknown, masked men entered the bank and immediately approached the teller counter. Once there, the men brandished handguns and demanded money. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported.

A police K-9 searched for the suspects who were not located.
Suspect Descriptions:
Black male, unknown age, 5’9”, 170lbs with a thin build
Last seen wearing a yellow hooded jacket with dark sleeves, dark jeans, and ski mask

Black male, unknown age, 5’9”, 185lbs with a medium build
Last seen wearing a dark colored jacket, dark colored jeans, and a ski mask

Armed Robbery – On December 14 at 7:07PM, officers responded to the 8400 block of North Point Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a robbery. A third party caller reported to police that a phone call was received by an acquaintance who appeared to be in distress. Officers responded to a home in the above area and located the victim, a 48-year-old woman of Manassas, suffering from an apparent head injury. The investigation revealed that the victim was taking out the trash when she was approached from behind and struck with an unknown blunt object. The victim fell to the ground and loss consciousness. When the victim woke, she contacted an acquaintance who then called police. Officers later determined that property was missing. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The suspect was never seen by the victim. A police K-9 and helicopter assistance from Fairfax County Police were used to search for the suspect who was not located. The investigation continues.

Attempted Strong Armed Robbery – On December 14 at 6:19PM, officers responded to investigate an attempted robbery which was reported to have occurred in the parking lot of the Lowes located at 13720 Smoketown in Woodbridge (22192) earlier that afternoon around 3:00PM.

The victim, a 25-year-old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was in the parking lot of the above location when he was approached by an unknown man. The man asked the victim for money and, when the victim stated he didn’t have any, the man walked away. A short time later, the man approached the victim a second and again asked for money. After repeating to the man that he didn’t have any, the man walked to a vehicle, described as a newer model sedan, which was parked a short distance away.

The man then parked the vehicle next to the victim. At that point, a woman in the passenger seat approached the victim’s window. The woman then reached through the window and attempted to grab the victim’s necklace from around his neck. After a brief struggle, the victim was able to hold onto the necklace and the woman returned to the vehicle. Both parties then fled the area. No injuries were reported.

White male, unknown age, 5’6”, 200lbs with a heavy build, brown eyes, short black hair, and clean shaven face
Last seen wearing gray dress shirt and blue jeans

White female, unknown age, 5’3”, 170lbs with a heavy build, brown eyes, bad long black hair
