Stoney Lonesome offered organic gardening tips on Sept. 25

On Sept. 25, there was quite a buzz at the Stoney Lonesome Farm at 7502 Cerro Gordo Road in Gainesville; it was not just by bees pollinating the flowers and vegetable plants grown there. Lots of people arrived on this overcast day with ominous clouds to enjoy activities centered around the fresh, organically grown produce, flowers and herbs grown on four acres of the 92 acre farm owned and managed by Pablo Elliott.

On this day, Stoney Lonesome Farm was one of a dozen stops of the Wild Western Prince William County Farm Tour hosting guests. It also welcomed members of Congregation Olam Tikvah from Fairfax for bean picking on a pickup day for the farm’s Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.
