Two turn themselves in—wanted in connection with prior incidents, say PWC Police

Armed Robberies *ARREST – On July 20, Joseph Tyler KELLEY turned himself into police without incident at the Gar-Field Substation in Woodbridge. The accused was wanted for two commercial robberies at an Exxon service station on June 8 and a Papa Johns on July 11.

Charged with 2 counts of robbery

Armed Robberies *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED [Previously Released]– On July 15, detectives from the Robbery Unit identified the suspect involved in two commercial robberies in the Woodbridge area of the county. The suspect, identified as Joseph Tyler KELLEY of Woodbridge, has been connected to the July 11 robbery of the Papa Johns on Dale Blvd and the June 8 robbery of the Exxon service station on Quate Ln.  In both cases, an undisclosed amount of money was taken. Detectives have since obtained arrest warrants for this suspect who has not been located.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On July 11 at 11:00PM, officers responded to the Papa Johns located at 4814 Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the store displaying a knife and demanding money. The man took an undisclosed amount of money then fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects who were not located. The investigation continues.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On June 8 at 7:40PM, officers responded to the Exxon service station located at 13549 Quate Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the store then brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located. No injuries were reported. The investigation continues.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Shooting Investigation *ARREST – On July 9, Cornelius Sean MCGRIFF turned himself into police without incident at the Adult Detention Center in Manassas. The accused was wanted in connection to a shooting investigation at a residence located in the 1600 block of Fort Fisher Court in Dumfries on June 24.

Charged with 2 counts of aggravated malicious wounding, 1 count for attempted aggravated malicious wounding, 3 counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and 3 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Shooting Investigation [Previously Released]– On June 24 at 9:04PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1600 block of Fort Fisher Court in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed that the victims, a 16-year-old male juvenile and 25-year-old man both of Dumfries, along with another resident were involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, identified as Cornelius Sean MCGRIFF. During the encounter, MCGRIFF brandished a handgun and shot the victims in their lower bodies. When officers arrived, one of the victims was located in the residence then transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. A short time later, the second victim responded to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. The accused fled the scene prior to officers arriving in the area. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
