Passing of Dean Heuston Reighard, architect,  dedicated his life to the Lord and his family

Dean Heuston Reighard, 87, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at his home in Gainesville, Va. Dean was born on May 4, 1927 in Johnstown, Pa., the son of the late Charles J. and Mary Mildred (Heuston) Reighard.  He is preceded in death by a son Karl Reighard and grandson Stephen Dalton.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Jane F. (Tawes) Reighard; children Sheila Ford and husband Steve, Glenda Bluhm, Neil Reighard and wife Ann; grandchildren David Rogers, Gregory Dalton, Matthew Bluhm, and Kelsey, Andrew and Emily Reighard. He also leaves step-grandchildren (Henry Jr., and Steve Bluhm), and other relatives and friends.

Dean dedicated his life to the Lord and his family. As an architect, he designed and built two family homes as well as many churches, schools, and office buildings in the Metro area.  He was a Redskins fan for almost 75 years; and he enjoyed fishing, good music, and building model airplanes. 

Memorial services will be held Sunday, March 22, 2015, at 1:30 p.m.at Capital Church, Leesburg Pike, Vienna, Va. with Pastor Amos Dodge officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The American Cancer Society.
