Dec. 29 stabbing on Balls Ford Rd. under investigation

Stabbing Investigation – On Sunday, Dec. 29 at 3:53 a.m., officers responded to investigate a stabbing that was reported to have occurred in the 10800 block of Balls Ford Rd. in Manassas (20110) at approximately midnight, according to MPO Renee Carr, police department spokesman.

Carr said that investigation revealed that the victim, a 32-year-old man, was in the above area with an acquaintance when a verbal altercation escalated. During the encounter, the suspect stabbed the victim in the back. The victim later went to a local hospital for treatment where police were contacted. The suspect left the scene prior to police arriving in the area. No other injuries were reported. The investigation continues.
