PWC Police ask public to view surveillance video from Nov. 20 burglary at Darbydale 7-Eleven

Commercial Burglary | Attempted Carjacking *ARREST and *VIDEO SURVEILLANCE – Upon further investigation, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department Property Crimes Unit have charged the man who had been detained in reference to the burglary at the 7-Eleven located at 14797 Darbydale Ave and the attempted carjacking that occurred in the 14300 block of Westminister Ln on November 20.

The man, identified as David Jerome WALKER, Jr., was subsequently transported to the Adult Detention Center. Video surveillance footage from the 7-Eleven which shows the burglary and the suspects involved is now available. Detectives are still working to identify the other three suspects and are asking for the public’s help in providing information about the suspects. The investigation continues.

Charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, grand larceny, conspiracy to commit grand larceny, destruction of property, and possession of stolen property

Commercial Burglary | Attempted Carjacking [Previously Released] – On November 20 at 4:11AM, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 14797 Darbydale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary-in-progress.

The investigation revealed that a Ford truck backed through the front of the above address. Four men then exited the vehicle and loaded the store’s ATM in to the back truck bed. The suspects then fled the area at a high rate of speed causing the ATM to fall out of the truck and into the roadway.

Shortly after the burglary, at approximately 4:21AM, officers received a report of an attempted carjacking in the 14300 block of Westminister Ln. The victim, an adult woman, reported to police that four men attempted to steal her vehicle. The men implied they had a weapon. The victim’s husband intervened and the men fled on foot. No injuries were reported.

A police K-9 and the Fairfax County police helicopter searched the area for the suspects. One of the men believed to be involved in the incident has been detained. The Ford truck used in the initial burglary at the 7-Eleven was also located and determined to have been stolen out of Washington D.C. The ATM stolen was recovered. The suspects were only described as black males wearing hooded sweatshirts. The investigation continues.
