Screening mammograms and 3D mammograms at Ladies Nights Out on Oct. 18 & Oct. 25

Women can receive annual mammogram screenings, learn about breast health and enjoy relaxation activities and shopping from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Ladies Nights Out on Thursday, Oct. 18, at Prince William Medical Center and Thursday, Oct. 25, at Haymarket Medical Center.

No physician order is required for women 40 years of age and older and no prior breast health issues, and most insurance is accepted. Financial assistance may be available for the uninsured and underinsured. Additional health screenings, including BMI, blood pressure and A1C, will also be available.

The events are being held in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month by Novant Health UVA Health System.

Attendees will have an opportunity to shop for jewelry and accessories, try the latest makeup trends, and sample appetizers and “mocktails.” Guests will also have a chance to receive complimentary chair massages and win prizes.
                                                                       
“At Novant Health UVA Health System, our commitment to expanding women’s health services and awareness of the importance of mammograms is year-round, not just in October,” said Stephen Smith, MD, president and COO of Prince William Medical Center and Haymarket Medical Center, in a news release.

Screening mammograms and 3D mammograms will be available at both Ladies’ Night Out events. This lifesaving technology supports early detection of breast cancer for women and is new technology that was added to Prince William Medical Center on Oct. 4.

The Thursday, Oct. 18, 5:30 to 8 p.m. Ladies Night Out at Novant Health UVA Health System Prince William Medical Center will be at the Health Center, Main Entrance, 8700 Sudley Road, Manassas, Va.

The Thursday, Oct. 25, 5:30 to 8 p.m.Ladies Night Out at Novant Health UVA Health System Haymarket Medical Center will be at Outpatient Imaging,
15195 Heathcote Blvd., Suite 110, Haymarket, Va.

The Oct. 25 event at Haymarket Medical Center will also showcase the Novant Health UVA Health System Mobile Mammography van for tours only to accommodate additional women requesting mammograms on-site.
