Motorcycle driver succumbs to injuries; accident at Liberia and Ivy Glen Ct., Manassas Police report

Fatal Accident
On June 12, 2018 at approximately 4:43 p.m., officers of the Manassas City Police Department responded to the area of Liberia Ave and Ivy Glen Court in Point of Woods for a report of an accident. The investigation revealed the driver of a motorcycle was travelling on Liberia Ave and collided with a vehicle turning onto Liberia Ave from Ivy Glen Ct. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim was identified as George SANDERS, a 63 year-old resident of Manassas. The investigation is on-going.

Burglary
On June 12, 2018 at approximately 7:32 a.m., an officer of the Manassas City Police Department responded to the 9400 block of Flowerden Ln for a report of a burglary. The victim reported the safe inside their home had been broken into sometime between 12:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on June 11. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Cash was reported missing.

Larceny
On June 12, 2018 at approximately 8:35 a.m., an officer of the Manassas City Police Department responded to the 10000 block of Ratcliffe Trl for a report of a larceny. Through investigation it was determined several apartments under construction had wiring stolen from electrical units. The incident is believed to have occurred between 4:00 p.m. on June 11 and 7:30 a.m. on June 12. The investigation is on-going.
