Stonewall Jackson High School senior named candidate for Disney Dreamers Academy

Kody Frye, a senior at Stonewall Jackson High School, is one of only 100 students selected nation-wide to participate in the 2018 Disney Dreamers Academy. Disney Dreamers Academy is a four-day, power-packed event in which select high school students experience inspirational guest speakers, career activities, and networking and interviewing opportunities. The event takes place each spring at the Walt Disney World Resort.

While attending the event, Frye earned a summer internship at ESPN. Frye is captain of the varsity football team and is a member of the Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy at SJHS. Upon graduation this year, he plans to attend Shenandoah University, where he will play football and study sports management and business.

In 2008, Walt Disney World created Disney Dreamers Academy in partnership with Steve Harvey and “Essence” magazine to encourage dreamers along their paths to success, to provide them with tools to let their potential shine, and to convey that the power of dreaming is the first step to achieving their goals.
