Jogger, 28, reports assault and robbery near Heathcote and Carterwood in Gainesville

**INCIDENTS**

Strong Armed Robbery – On June 22 at 10:45AM, Prince William County Police Department officers responded to investigate a robbery which occurred in the area of Heathcote Blvd and Carterwood Dr in Gainesville (20155) earlier that evening, according to Officer Nathan Probus, police department spokesman.

The investigation revealed that the victim, a 28-year-old man of Gainesville, was jogging in the above area when he was approached from behind by an unknown man. During the encounter, the suspect assaulted the victim. The suspect took a headlamp from the victim before fleeing the area on foot. Minor injuries were reported. The investigation continues, Officer Probus said.

Black male, approximately 6’00” wearing a grey shirt

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding – On June 21 at 1:17PM, officers responded to investigate a stabbing which occurred earlier that afternoon somewhere in the area of Sudley Rd and Bullock Dr in Manassas (20109). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 41-year-old man of Manassas, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused stabbed the victim in the leg. The accused responded to a local hospital with the victim and the police were contacted. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with malicious wounding
