PWC Police investigate two burglaries where victims say they saw suspects

**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary | Brandishing a Firearm – On May 22 at 8:50AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 2900 block of Cambridge Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner, identified as a 47-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he heard a noise coming from the back deck. When he went to investigate, allegedly he saw the accused, an acquaintance, attempting to break into the residence through a rear door.

According to the police report, when the victim confronted the accused, a verbal altercation ensued. At some point, the accused retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and brandished at a neighbor, identified as a 53-year-old woman, as he walked back to the residence.

The accused then entered the residence and brandished the firearm at the victim and another resident, a 20-year-old woman. The parties eventually separated and the accused fled the area in a vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Robert H LEEGRAND III. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Described as a black male, 5’10”, 180lbs with black hair and brown eyes
Wanted for burglary, violation of a protective order, and brandishing a firearm

Residential Burglary – On May 23 at 3:24AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7700 block of Gateshead Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary in progress. A resident of the home reported to police that a loud noise was heard coming from the front door. When the resident went to check, an unknown male kicked open the door. The suspect fled the area on foot when he saw the resident. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located. The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary – On May 22 at 3:13PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1800 block of Sugar Hill Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. A resident of the apartment reported to police that sometime between 4:00AM and 1:45PM, entry was made into the apartment through a rear window which was found damaged. A computer laptop, watch, iPad, clothing, gaming console, and a speaker system were reported missing.
